One year on...

I am Aditya, CEO and founder of Doosra. As we turn one this week, it's a good time to reflect on the launch of Doosra in September 2020 and its journey since then.

With a unique offering of a privacy-focused mobile number, Doosra found immense excitement amongst those wanting to have a mobile number to share at public places.

In November 2020, we ran a survey about what we should build next, and the message we got was clear; allow the ability to sign up on WhatsApp and other platforms. This led to the birth of Doosra Pro, a more powerful plan allowing sign-ups on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal and others, and offering multi-device support, unlimited trusted contacts and much more. The launch of Doosra Pro opened up the many use cases of Doosra. From small businesses to yoga instructors, Doosra numbers were being used for business listings on platforms like Google Places, Urban Company, Justdial, etc., where solopreneurs used this to separate work and home communication.

Also, Doosra is now the popular choice amongst people looking to buy or sell items on online marketplaces like OLX, Quikr, FB Groups, etc., and for finding more details online about insurance, cars, flats and more. Doosra bridges this deficit of trust seamlessly and ensures that the brokerage of your Doosra number by online platforms does not affect you in any way since all calls on Doosra are blocked by default and are sent to voicemail. We are taking this a step further with the new passcode feature that will give you even more control and flexibility to give your Doosra number everywhere.

With 1.7M messages and over 500,000 calls, Doosra has meaningfully upgraded how people think about and use their personal number.

All this would not have been possible without your constant support. So to celebrate this significant milestone in our journey, we are offering 50% off on all renewal plans.

Just use the discount code BDAY50 and extend your subscription today. This offer is available to all our existing Doosra users.

New users can avail our Buy one, get one (Doosra pe Doosra) offer that’s available on the website:

Please note that due to changing regulatory requirements, we will be making e-KYC mandatory even for essential users. This will be rolled out shortly, and if you are an essential user, you will be asked to comply with it in the next few weeks. This change does not affect Pro users. The mandatory KYC is a standard for all telecom service providers and we are transitioning to this level of compliance to ensure long-term service. So keep this in mind as you consider a renewal.

It has been an incredible journey and I look forward to your support as we take Doosra to newer heights.

Warm regards,

Aditya Vuchi
